for the AMD platform...which is the best? (KT400, nforce, nforce2)...and also, what is the best "value" motherboard (but with the best preformance) in the market?

thanks

I agree except the AN35N-Ultra400 for 60$ shipped from Mwave.com that Insane3D has looks like it will unseat the 8RDA+ for price/performance value now. There is no way the Epox is worth 20$+ more for the few extras it has over the Shuttle IMO.

i am thinking about the shuttle board too. it is half the price of the asus a7n8x deluxe. how bad is the on board sound for the an35n ultra anyway? i just want a board that can run the 2500+/1700+ at 200fsb.

what about the asus a7n8x-x??..I know that is not a "value" motherboard, but I can afford it. I just wanted a motherboard that I can push the athlon - barton 2500+ to its limits.

also, a stupid question: If I bought a processor from like for example "newegg", I have to do something with it so that I can overclock it?

thanks

Nforce2 .... Gigabyt 7NNXP but it is preicey. What features does the AN 35 have? It is Ultra right ? All the good old Nforce 2 OC options there?
