Which chipset is fastest for Intel CPUs?

I was always under the impression that the 815E was a better and faster solution for Intel P3 CPUs than any VIA chipset, namely Apollo Pro 133A.

A guy I met is telling me the VIA is faster according to some reviews he saw. Is he full of crap? I pretty much assume so.

BX Is strongest, but no agp 1/2 divider
i815 is like a BX with 1/2 divider
VIA Almost as fast but still not as fast... they have been improving
