You really should consider other phones outside of the two you listed. Motos aren't that great compared to the myriads of others available. SIM is your best friend.

Tmobile or Cingular? If Cingular, you should be able to get either phone for free (after rebate). My friend just got a slvr (Cingular) for free. So, shop around! :)

If I had to choose, I'd choose the slvr because it has a microSD slot, and razrs are old/crappy.

To be honest, motorola phones are all about the look. There are much better phones out there, but these are the two options you have given.

edit - hey keeleysam! haha :)

moto's are horrible. slow menus, bad reception and you can't do much of tweaking!

I would go for Nokia or Sony Ericsson. Think about it.

I've owned motorola, LG, kyocera, sony/ericsson and nokia.

I've gotten the worse reception (same network, same area) with the motorola's every time. Had the best luck with nokia and kyocera.

So, I'd pick something other than those two. But if you insist on one, the slvr.

i've had better luck with motorolas than any other brand... but i hate their RAZR, SLVR, etc. Their new slim phones. They look weird... and I've heard a lot of negative stuff about them.

I <3 my Moto e815 tho.

Of those two, go with the RAZR. I have it and love it. I wouldn't get the SLVR because I don't buy non-flips.

Agreed....motorola sucks. Case in point, the RAZR is horrible. Look at the Samsung A900 (unofficially referred to as the blade by some), THAT'S what a phone that slim can be, QVGA, EVDO, Stereo speakers, much better keypad, and GPS. I don't even know what the point of the SLVR is.

If you're going GSM, some of those new nokia's look pretty nice.

EDIT: GSM equivalent to the A900 in the US is the t809. Samsung makes some solid phones.

Any word on the V3i price?

Spydermag68
The V3 was one of the top selling phones last year for a reason. I love mine, but would trade for a V3i in a heartbeat, because the camera in the V3 is a joke.
