Between Yamaha 8824EZ and HP9150i, which one would you recommend for Win98se/W2k dual boot system?

I've heard HP has problem with W2k w/ WMP7 installed. Any problems with the Yamaha?

I mostly do backups and making audio cd.

Also, any big advantage going with SCSI version of the drives?
