Which CD ROM? Samsung or LG?

Hi,

I just got an exchange for a pc from Dell and noticed that the replacement pc has a LG 48x CD ROM and the original had a Samsung 48x CD Rom. Which would you rather have and why? I guess it doesn't matter to Dell, so I could keep whichever one I want at this point.

Help me make a decision please..

I have a Samsung DVD drive and it's pretty good. No problems so far

Samsung. I have used many and never had a problem. Can't say the same for LG.

Seems that Dell has replaced all their samsungs by LG.... they seem to be decent ones.. but who knows if they are in fact better than samsungs.... ?

You can try testing both to determine which is faster. Then you can tell us which one is better.

What's the best way to test them? Sandra? What measurements am I after?
