Which catalysts to use for 3850?

Had some trouble with 8.7s, was wondering if I should stick to the older catalysts for this slightly outdated card?
 
The 3850 isn't that outdated! As long as ATI calls their drivers "Catalyst," they'll support everything back to at least the 2000 series. You can safely download new drivers whenever you please.
