Which case?

I'm going to put together a new P4 or T-bird/DDR system in January. i want a case that sticks out a little and isn't another beige box. I'm thinking about either a clear acrylic case from Design Comp, or the ATC-201 aluminum case from Cooler Master. Let me know what your opinions are? Or what other cases you like?

I've read bad things about clear acrylic cases on this board. Maybe it was about stuff getting zapped or not fitting together correctly or something.

Anyhow, don't think the 201 is readily available yet although I think it's starting to hit the market. I think it's going to be mondo expensive (well over $300). I like the looks of their ATC-100.

I currently have a Lian-li PC60 brushed aluminum case. I like it a lot and I only paid $175 for it. Didn't come with a power supply though. Here's a review of it: Text.

You might also want to check out the cases forums at HardOCP and ArsTechnica. There seem to be a number of high end case folks posting over there.

you can ask anyone, this is one the BEST cases ever made, and overclocker dream to start with, but with the mods, even better. check it out, its cheaper and i think better than the two cases you were looking at IMHO...=)

Hey Jojo316, if it's not too much trouble could you post a few pictures of the overall case, not just close ups of certain areas? Preferably at least one with the side panel off, showing the entire inside. Did you cut out the space in the rear for the second PS, or did it come that way? Let me know I'm semi-interested!

i did the cutting for the second power supply. will get the pictures up soon, but quality of the pics will be the same as before, hence not that great. brb after i get the pics...

With acrylic cases, higher chances of static electricity killing your computer... be careful.

80 dcdomain, So far I haven't had a problem but thanks for reminding me. Maybe this Novus plastic cleaner that protects and destaticizes has really saved me from any troubles you have encountered.
