Cooler Master Prateorian

Or

Cooler Master Wavemaster

They both look good (even though the Wave Master looks a bit better). They both have good quaility. They're both made out of aluminium (which is a good thing). They're size is good and I don't mind the price of them. All though I like the fact that the Prateorian has more places to put fans it might be loud, but it would be cooler. Btw I like the door on the Wave Master =).

So which one is better? I can't think of a flaw to any of them!

you can pretty easily sealth the opticals on a praetorean and the extra fans and the wide open front fans make for some nice cooling.

Are there aluminum optical drives? So it'll match with the prateorian? And can you buy shock absorbers and put it where your hard drive is?

Coolermaster makes covers for optical drives in both brushed metal (silver) and black. Just get the one that matches the case finish and you're all set.

You really can't be this helpless, can you?

haha. you can get them at newegg.com. i recommend you get everything there unless you can find a super deal elsewhere. newegg's retail prices are even better then many of best buy's and compusa's sales.

Confusednewbie1552, I'm almost 100% sure that internally these are the same exact case. The only difference I see is that the Prateorian has an additional 3.5 external bay. Also, I don't know if the Prateorian has the usb/headphone jack/firewire plug option on the top. This is on the front in the Prat. It may just be the 80mm fan on top. I have the wavemaster. It has the same number of fans as the Prateorian. I think all they did for the wavemaster was install the cool door/led's and get rid of the 3.5 bay. If you think the wave door is worth ~$50, buy the wavemaster.

Also, what do you plan on doing with the comp. If you want to do watercooling in the future, I think this case is a little too small. I'm going to do watercooling and the space is really tight. I can fit it but not as easily as I would had hoped for. Have you thought about Lian-li cases.

I meant wherre cna u get the matching aluminum optical drives.

Also I don't want the Cavalier.

Does the Wavemaster have a fan at the top? From what i've seen the prateorian has palces for 5 fans (2 front, 1 back, 1 top)

Yes I've seen some Lian Li cases, but i'm still looking, right now though iw ould like to know the best out of those two.

Currently I am not considering watercooling, but i have to think about that.

Also can you buy a shock absorber for your hard drive, if so where?

Thanks!

I would go with the Praetorian not only because it is cheaper but it is also not used by Compaq. The thought that some Joe six-pack can get a gaming PC from a local Best Buy or CompUSA that looks exactly like my PC is distributing.
