Which Case, and Should I Air or Liquid Cool?

Guys,

I'm looking for some advice on wether to liquid or air cool, and what case and fans and or liquid cooling system I should purchase. I plan to run either a Quad Core 6600 or a Dual Core 6700 and would like to overclock. I currently have 2 7900GTX cards which I will use today... What should I purchase in terms of case, PSU, etc...???

Thanks

want a light overclock, stock - 3.2ghz, an air cooler will do.

Want to push your Quad to higher levels, of around 3.3-3.6. Your going to need a 300+ dollar waterkit. Not to mention it will help cooling the chipsets. And you might want to pull your GFX on a second loop because quads do dump that much heat into the water when overclocked moderately.

Any more questions? And no you cant slap a koolance, or a thermaltake bigwarer SE kit on this system. You will need a petra custom kit, or a swiftech APEX kit.

And no im not kidding. I have 2 quads with a third coming in next week. So i know my quads fairly well.

IF your watercooling:
CM STacker T01, floor mount the radiator at the bottom, mount the PSU at top. Best newbie watercooling case i have ever had the chance to work with.

PSU:
PCnC 750 Quad
Corsair HX620
Seasonic M12 700
Silverston Zeus 850

MotherBoard:
Since your on SLI, Evga 680i is your only hope. Get the A1, it has unlimited warrenty, vs the TR. And believe me on the 680i it helps to have lifetime advance RMA warrenty.

Ram:
Crucial Ballastix PC8500

AS for the cooling, PM me once your head is set on liquid. But as i mentioned, be prepared to dump almost 300 dollars on this setup.

If you're considering water-cooling, you need to convince yourself. I know this response seems flippant, but considering the expense, knowledge required, set-up time and potential headaches, you owe it to yourself to have your eyes wide open before you jump. You might start with the stickies here:

Once you have an idea about how big the bear actually is you can start to ask some informed questions, if you choose.

"I prefer the newer Black Ice 240 GTS. (Two-Pass style)
Black Ice Stealth Radiators
Thermochill PA 120.2 Radiator
Swiftech MCR
Coolingworks 22T and 32T

The Fillport vs. The Reservoir:

Fill ports or reservoirs are where the liquid that cools the loop will be stored. The difference between the two can be summed up best by CPU Killer from Danger Den

*sigh* this is why i left products and names out of my guide. It was shown that the stealth is a terrible radiator. I believed in its hype only to be saddened.

Also, they only recomend DD parts. Another big *sigh*

DD has lost its luster. Its no longer anywhere near the league of swiftech and D-tek when it comes to cpu cooling. I cant recomend any DD waterblocks, as because, they flat out suck.

Also DD makes a 8800 series FC block. Another terrible block. EK FC8800 blocks are far superior in the milling and job quality. It also performs better, and is cheaper. In fact there so good, its hard getting them because there always Out of Stock. EK is what i would look at for full cover blocks, right now. Not DD.

:T

AS for the radiator comment. Nothing beats thermochill. There the lust of any watercooling setup. There extremely expensive tho, but worth every penny.

I didn't link for product endorsements, which will come up one way or another anyway. It was just a means to wet the OPs appetite for learning as much as he can on his own.
