Which case and cooler should I get?

Just curious to see what you guys think.

Case - I'm having a tough time deciding between the Haf-X and the Haf 912. There is a world of difference between the prices but from my understanding, the Haf 912 should be able to house a gtx570 and a big cpu cooler like the noctua d14 / thermalright silver arrow just as the Haf-X would. I'm probably sacrificing slightly better airflow and front USB 3.0 ports. Do you guys think it's worth paying an extra $120+ for the Haf-X? Is there any other advantages I'm missing?

Cooler - This is between Noctua D14 and Thermalright Silver Arrow. It seems that Noctua D14 is a lot more popular but the Silver Arrow supposedly performs slightly better and is a bit more quiet. If that's true, why wouldn't more people recommend it?

Noctua D14

Thermalright Silver Arrow

Any thoughts would greatly be appreciated!

I wouldn't pay extra for the HAF X (although a lot of people here might) - if I'm spending that much on a case it's usually for silence/low key, like the P18* series.

I just replaced a Noctua U12P (2 x 120mm) with the Silver Arrow - load temps went down 6C on the hottest core. It does out-perform Noctua, and the fans are PWM controlled, and it comes with great thermal paste (better than AS5!!!). I think people aren't recommending it because you can find the D14 anywhere, but I had to order the TR from Mwave.

I am having very high temperature with the D14 right now. My 2600k is at 4.5ghz 1.315v, room 25c and RealTemp report 86c degree. You might want to try something else.

Either RealTemp is reporting wrong or you have something set seriously wrong.
