which cards for netgear MR314 Wireless Cable/DSL Router ?

Just ordered the netgear mr314 from amazon. this is my first wireless networking attempt. can i use just any wireless cards for the pc and laptop or do they have to match some specific netgear spec?

For desktop - The matching Netgear Wireless USb Client.
