MotherBoard ASUS P3V4X
256Mb RAM PC133
Western Digital Caviar 20Gb
DVD ASUS 52x
Plextor PleXWriter 24/10/40A
Sound Blaster Live! Value
Riva TNT2 32Mb
Monitor Sony 19" 420GST



I'm thinking about buying a new graphics card, a Geforce ... I would like some opinion about which one is the best choice for games, like "Return To Castle Wolfenstein", for internet play with cable modem.

Which is the best choice (price/performance) right now? Any range from Geforce1 to Geforce4 chipsets ... 🙂

Anything from a Geforce 2 upwards will be a noticable to you, it depends how much you are willing to spend.

All depends on what you are willing to spend on the card:

GeForce 2 GTS and up

Radeon DDR and up

Either family of cards will do you justice, and make a noticable difference in performance
 
For a good budget card I would try the Radeon 32MB DDR or a Kyro II, both are about $50 shipped now. If you want to go a little higher try a Geforce 2 Ti 64MB for about $85, Geforce 3 Ti 200 for $120, Radeon 8500 LE for about $135. Looks like you have the board and the RAM, if that is a 600E (100MHz fsb cpu) stick that thing on 133MHz and you now have an 800MHz cpu.
