Hi all,

A friend's wife has asked me to get her Husband a graphics card for his machine. She wants to upgrade his card so he can play Battlefield 2 amongst other games. The problem however is his machine is really old. He has a A7v600-X Motherboard running a 1.4Ghz chip and a Geforce 3 Ti200.

From looking around on the net I have come across 2 graphics cards which might be good for him... A Radeon 9800 Pro or the X700 Pro. Both cards are AGP so should fit the system okay.

The questions I have are will either of these cards run okay on the A7v600-X and which would be best for his system.

Thanks,

Bizzlak

I'd have a hard time recommending a graphics card for that system, I really don't thnk it quite has the balls anymore to run the latest games... but if you do insist on a new grpahics card, I'd probably just grab something like biostud suggested. An X800GTo would be nice, but it's too powerful for that system. Not worth it. Either a 9800P or a 6600GT, something along those lines is the highest I'd go. Both can run BF2 decently (depending on settings)
