Which card to get for a new rig im building this month.

I'm building a new comp this month that's based on a 3000+, epox nforce 4 ultra, and most likely 1 stick of 1gb value ram while looking to upgrade to 2gb in the future. I'm looking to play bf2.

There are a couple of ati rebates that are expiring 7/31, which is today, so I'm wondering if I should jump the trigger right now on one of these cards:

Not sre if that's worth anything since the cards are not out yet. Potentially this would allow me to buy another card on the cheap and sell it off. So what should I do? Buy the cheap x800, the x850 pe, or wait forgo this deal and wait for another bargain?

get a 6800gt for that price range...you'll want the shader model 3.0 support over the next year or two.

or a 7800gtx...they go to slightly under $500 now.

that x850 pe is a reach for me... the 7800 costs as much as all my other components..

the gt seems to be a little < 800 xl.. whats' smartshader 3.0?
