kepp the geforce3. Still have one in my older p4 1.8ghz rig. Still flys and lets me play most of todays games when im at home. C&C Generals still looks beutiful. Invest in some more ram!!!! You will see a huge increase in performance
I have both cards, so was just wondering which one I should use for my main system. Oh and when I listed the 128 megs ram, I meant that for the vid card ram. My system ram is 512 on windows XP so I'm fine there.
Eventually I'll get a faster card, but for now it runs everything decent.
yea, just keep up on the drivers and your fine. Actually dont use the later dets since they are for the later 500 series and geforce 4. I believe and many would agree the 23.11's were the best geforce 3 ones. try them out
The 30.82 drivers were very good, especially for stability and image quality, everybody has their favourite Nvidia driver,I would suggest you try a few to see which ones you prefer, btw downloading Driver Cleaner 2 you`ll find very handy, helps clean out all the remains of old nvidia/ATI drivers.
I think I'll try them out. It seemed like after installing the newest detonator's my secondary ide channel became very unstable. Might have been a coincidence, but just seemed to be right after.
I think you should use the ATI Radeon 9800 Pro. Nvidia is overrated, and besides the Radeon 9800 Pro, 9700 Pro are the top two cards on the market right now. 9800 Pro is the absolute best card fps wise.
