Which card is better

I'd pay the extra $13 (including shipping) and get the MSI option for the 3 year warranty over the refurbished Sapphire with only a 90 day warranty.

The Sapphire has has a faster default GPU speed as well as faster memory, plus the heatsink looks far beefier and has dual fans.

I'll look in to the one you posted meldarth, do others agree?

It really depends on how hard set your budget is. If it is $90 and not a penny more then the MSI 7770 would be my option. If you do not mind waiting on a rebate the 260x is a better card. Personally I would try to save up and get a 78xx/265/270 card in the $120-150 price range.

I saw some r9 270s on ebay for $90. Just a FYI.

This.. buying 7770 at this time, seeing it costing same price as it was 2yrs ago.. I'd say its a bad deal. Get 270/7870, that stuff is 2x faster and will let you play with more eyecandy/more future proof with 2gb

Wonder how many thousands of hours of mining is on them.
Dont' see that as a problem, because you know those things are running properly/pre-tested so to speak. If those video cards have good cooling and no crazy overvolting I'd guess they can run 24/7 for a dozen years. The only problems I ever remember with video cards is when the cooling fan failed. Given a choice between used card with beefy cooling vs new card w/cheap fan design, I'd bet used card would last longer.

bigsteve honestly getting 7770 at that price isn't a good deal....260x is faster; if you can streak or don't mine used; look at ebay at some 270s which will much; much faster.....🙂

Most people who are mining take care of their cards because they don't want them to fail or they would lose profit. I have bought mining cards and found them to be much more reliable than gambling with something like a newegg open box or refurbished card. Ebay buyer protection will protect you from the rip off artists on ebay. They side heavily on the buyer.
