Which card is better? S3 Trio 3D vs. i740 based card

I'm currently using the i740 based card in a desktop PC, running Linux. 1280x960@67Hz. The S3 card is lying in the closet currently and since both are pretty old cards, I've no idea which one is better.

Should I replace the i740 card (CardExpert 740) with the S3 Trio 3D/2x card? They're both 8 MB, AGP cards.

Stick with the i740. Never liked S3. The card you're asking about is crappy, no 3D at all. Like most S3 cards btw

Yeah, I've heard many bad things about S3, but since I've no experience with any of those cards from S3, I wasn't too sure.
This will save me the trouble of switching video-cards

Stick with the I740, it's a better performing card. Drivers are better too IMHO
