which card is better? nvidia 440 1gb or ati 5670 1gb?

which of these two cards is overall better? the nvidia 1gb 440 or the atio 5670 1gb? it is for a quad core amd system with 8gb ram.

already have the cards so it doesnt matter if X card is better for only a few more $$, since i already have them, which ever is better will be used.

If the GT440 is with GDDR-5 then it should be equal to HD5670 (assuming it is a GDDR-5 as well). If GT440 has GDDR-3 then the HD5670 (GDDR-5) is faster.
