I have been less than impressed with every Nissan I've been in. They're reliable and all that, but the ergonomics and tactile feel of the controls is inferior to that of stripped-down Hondas from the early 1980's. I remember having my '88 Accord when my mother bought her '98 Maxima. The interior of the Maxima was markedly lower quality than the Accord's, even after 10 years of service from the Accord. And the steering wheel control stalks have zero feedback, there's no real detent on the turn signal to just make a lane change and the radio buttons just feel cheap. The interior on that Maxima hasn't aged well either. It has a lot of squeeks and rattles now, and my mother is not by any means hard on her car.
I'd go for the Accord or the Acura.
