Which Car Would You Get?

Aimster

Lifer
1) 1997 Nissan Maxima SE (All Options)
2) 1999 Acura 3.2 TL
3) 2000 Mazda Millenia S
4) 1998 Accord EX-V6 (All Options)

Price $10,000-11,000 Maximum

1997 maxima, and you can get it for WAY WAY WAY less than $10k. My 97 SE fully loaded with 77k I bought 11 months ago for $6000, with nothing wrong with it. The millenia and accord are crap for what you get for the money. The acura is a nice car...the maxima is best because it's not just the fastest 🙂)), but also nissan's resale sucks, so you get a lot for your money.

$10-11k will get you a 00 or 01 max, which I might add drives a lot nicer than a 97.

I have been less than impressed with every Nissan I've been in. They're reliable and all that, but the ergonomics and tactile feel of the controls is inferior to that of stripped-down Hondas from the early 1980's. I remember having my '88 Accord when my mother bought her '98 Maxima. The interior of the Maxima was markedly lower quality than the Accord's, even after 10 years of service from the Accord. And the steering wheel control stalks have zero feedback, there's no real detent on the turn signal to just make a lane change and the radio buttons just feel cheap. The interior on that Maxima hasn't aged well either. It has a lot of squeeks and rattles now, and my mother is not by any means hard on her car.

I'd go for the Accord or the Acura.

Strange, my brother's 96 Maxima SE is perfectly fine

Don't you already own all of these cars, and more?

oh man...if the TL runs on regular instead of premium, then I would choose that
otherwise, the accord

BUT...what are the mileages on these cars?
I doubt a 99 TL is worth the same as a 98 accord, same mileage/condition
