Ok.guys, I am driving down to Mexico the week after next and wanted to decide on wehat car to rent out. I am looking for something a bit roomy cause its gonna be a 9 hour haul and also something thats not too expensive...Anyone know of any rental deals going on right now...the best I saw was 40.00 per day for a Explorer at Budget

The Ford Tauruses are very cheap to rent yet roomy and comfortable. My friends and I rented one to go from San Diego to Las Vegas and we had no comlaints.

If you are going to Mexico, I would take the SUV since the roads are so messed up there. I go to Rosarito a few times a month and have taken cars, trucks and suvs with the suvs giving the most comfort.

I rented a 2k jeep cherokee for relatively inexpensive in Costa Rica. The thing was a champ, I beat the h@ll out of it and returned it with some scratches(the underbelly was torn up:D) and a couple ruptured tires.;)
Whatever you do, dont get the sidekick! My bud got one and the thing was horrid!:Q

Should probably rent a ferrari or porche turbo... that way when you smuggle whatever you're gonna smuggle, you have a faster car with which to blow through customs!!! :D :D :D :D Hehehe.. j/k.

I rented a Pathfinder in Florida from Alamo.... I'd think SUV is the way to go... except for the DISMAL gas milage they get. Watch out and make sure the EXPLODER has gotten replacement tires. ;)
