1970 chevelle ss ls6 or 1997 integra? the chevelle has over 450 horsepower and almost 600 pounds of torque but the integra has a 1.6 liter non vetech engine ands its not even the gsr.my friend told me that i can make the integra more aerodynamic with spoilers and ground kits and thoose fish gill thingys but why does the car with the highest efficent against drag in the world a round audi??oh and i want to lower the car to make it go faster but everyone at school says to cut the springs some other guy said that it would mess up my toe in and camber?!!?whats that ?when the wheels are turning in and uneven from me cutting springs isnt that better?my moms sohc v6 accord goes faster than the integra im clueless what should i do?

If you want to run a 1/4 mile, off course go with the Chevelle, it's a much faster car. Trust me, your Integra will not only look ridiculous riced up, it won't go much faster(spoilers really do crap on cars under 130, and ground kits are fairly useless). Yet if you want a reliable daily driver go for the Integra, but certainly don't rice it up.

This sounds like a bad car movie I've watched in the past, I can't put my finger on it though....

In the last thread this guy started, he was talking about putting "performance rims (I could care less about looks)" on his accord.

<< For the love of God get the integra. You don't deserve a chevelle . >>

Exactly what I think, they are not made for ricing, they came premoded from GM and don't need anything to make them better. Also, the chevelle would have absolutley horrible gas mileage making the car very umpractical.

chevelle baby. what kinda engine? my mechanic had a 70 with a 454 and factory air. damn that was a beautiful car....until he sold it

BTW you expect to rice it out with "ground effects" a spoiler, and a fish gill grille? if anything, acura engineers figured out the best, not to mention cost effective way to make the integra aerodynamic.

besides, does a 1.6 need downforce? if it did, i'm sure acura would have figured it out at the wind tunnel already. besides, how would one make a car more aerodynamic with a spoiler? AFAIK, the spoiler is to provide downforce on the drive wheels (Integra is FWD already IIRC) for better control. It increases traction but reduces the overall aerodynamic efficiency

More importantly, can you handle the power of the Chevelle? This ain't no easy car to drive...if the roads are wet..and you floor it..you could be kissing the curb and counting how many shards of metal/rubber/flesh is on the road.

Unless your an experienced performance driver and/or can control yourself <i know i couldn't if i was in a Chevelle>, stick with the Integra..you might save your life..and those of others.

Just some common sense ticking it...

I say this because everyone talks about getting a nice and fast car, but can you handle it? I always thought I was an excellent driver who could take turns at high speed, etc..in my Corolla..then I got a 240SX <stick-shift>...now I'm humbled. Its hard to find the correct line thru a corner while downshifting. After fishtailing in the rain, I've told myself no way in hell I'm gonna add more power to this car until I can handle it properly.

There's a saying that goes like this:
"If you can't drive fast with 90hp, how can you expect to drive fast with 500hp?" and
"Power with out control is nothing"
