I got the Samsung. And why? I had BB giftcards and only spent $20 of my real cash for a camera.

i would nearly never go with a nikon compact. nikon historically has no interest in compact cameras and other than some interesting industrial designs about 8 years ago they've put literally no effort into their digicams. makers with no significant consumer camera experience (but with a lot of TV camera experience) such as sony and panasonic put out much better digicams than nikon.
