between Canon S330 and Canon S200

I've got an S200 and just recently an S330. I tested them out and mainly the S200 is more compact in terms of size, and it is lighter. The S330 compensates for this by having audo during movie playback and a 3x optical zoom instead of the S200's 2x. So let me ask, is this addition worth the extra size and weight?

I don't think the S330 is realyl pocketable

It's pretty thick. I had one and I switched over to the S200.

I prefer the S200 well over the S330.
The audio is nice, but I'd much rather have the smaller camera size.
 
Guys, I already bought the camera. I'm sticking with the Canon Sxxx series. The S230 has EVERYTHING I want but is too expensive. I got the S330 from FS/T and I'm going to sell one to my friend. Both essentially are the same price, so it's up to me to choose which one. The S50 is good too, but I like compactness in my camera. So I have one vote for each one...

My S300 is pocketable and I love the extra features it includes. JMO
 
Anyone have a site which has the differences between S200, S230, S300 and S330? I don't remember what's different between the S300 and S200. I think the zooms are the same, is S300 3MP? If so, why isn't the S330 also 3MP? :|

Get the PowerShot S400 whenever it's $400 (or less) at Dell.com.

Accessories will run you the same whichever S model you choose from.

I think RossMAN still has an S400 available, if you want to go that route. 🙂

I used dpreview. I would love an S230 or S400 but that is simply out of my price range at this moment. If the S230 were around 250-60 I'd buy it like that, but that won't happen. 🙂 I just started university and I don't want to go broke!

So, back to the question - S200 or S330? Isn't the resell value of the S330 higher because of the extra features? But it's discontinued, so will that have an effect?

I think I'm FINALLY going to learn how to use it by this weekend *shock and disbelief* because we're going on a lil road trip.
 
yes, opt for the best of both the s230 and s330... grab the s400 🙂

altho, like some of the reviews have noted.. the "anti scratch" material... really doesn't work. i don't know how i got scuffs on my s400... i don't put anything other than the camera in my pocket 🙁

and if you can't spring for the s400, i have to really say the s230's size takes over the fact it's only a 2x optical. I've said before 3x was always the top contender.. but i've found the smaller camera is easier to take with me.. so i'm more likely to use it. but that's just my opinion
