Didn't a cable come with your camera? The cable you want is determined by the connectors on your camera and your Mac Book. I'm guessing it's USB. For more info, search Google for "USB connector" (in quotes). You should find plenty of links to pics of the various USB connectors.

Go to any place that sells camera and/or computers, like Circuit City or Best Buy, or even stores like Office Depot. If you live in a city with Fry's Electronics, you may save a little money.

Canon part number 2r800 is a power adapter. Canon does make a MiniDV camcorder with a part number of ZR-800. Is that your camera? If so, the camera box does not include a cable, which is rather surprising.

You need a 4-pin IEEE 1394 (Firewire) cable like this one. Canon sells it for $50 from that link, but you should be able to get one that will work from a local electronics store or from an online discount shop for a lot less.

As Harvey mentioned, check around at your local stores and take the camera with you so you can make sure the cable fits before you leave the store. And while you're at it, go back to Best Buy and insist that they give you a full refund for the wrong cable the salesperson sold you.
