Which cable modem

Last night, my old Motorola SB4101 apparently died on me, so I need to buy a new cable modem. Right now I'm thinking either the Motorola SB5120 or the D-Link DCM-202. It looks like the D-Link might be faster, but the Motorola is a more trusted brand (more reliable?). Thanks for any advice!

Trusted Brand and faster when concerned Cable Modem is just nice words.

If you have regular residential service, the cheapest External Ethernet that you can find that supports your ISP's line would be fine.

I'm going through this exercise right now as well, my provider COX is sending out emails (I got one) saying that my modem won't support their latestt speed upgrade. I have a motorola today...I used to have a Dlink, but it wasn't all that great and eventually just died. I'll probably go back to the Motorola maybe the 5100 or 5120.

Cisco ubr900

We have had a few different models, Ambit, Motorolas ect. We have had the best luck with this one.
