Which burning software will allow you to record to a CD-R in multiple sessions? That is I can record three songs one day, add two another, etc. Is this possible or am I forced to use CD-RW media?:)

I have the Adaptec easy cd creator 4. Not the deluxe version though. Can you burn multiple times to the same CD-R or once you do a partial burn (2-5)songs are you done with that disk?

yes, as long as you leave the session open, you can add more songs to your CD, if you close your session then you can't add anymore.

Any setting you have to use to accomplish This? I've tried several times in NERO, can't remember if I tried it in the adaptec version though. I now have 4 cd-r's with one or two songs on them. When i try to write to them, the plexy opens up the tray and the software says insert an empty disc.

What I do is, after choosing what songs I wanna burn, I click CreateCD, a window should pop up, givin ya info on how many cd's ya wanna make, what device you usin, click the advanced tab, in there it should give you an option to leave session open or closed....make sure it's set to leave open and burn away.

But keep in mind, you won't be able to play that CD in you car stereo until your done adding songs and you close the session.

How do you normalize the volume of the songs? I have easy cd creator 4 as well. It came with my plextor. Also how do I pull songs off a cd? Will easy cd creator do that as well. I would like to make a greatest hits cd from the cd's that I have. If not this program is there a free one that is available? thanks

I just installed a Plextor CDRW and I am real clueless about this burning stuff. I haven't as yet burned anything. I was wondering how Adaptec Easy CD Creator compares to something like MusicMatch Jukebox.

Thanks,
Blain

gplracer, yeah you can RIP songs from audio CD to a CDR, in EasyCd just hit the CDDB tab so it can download info from your Audio CD and then drag and drop the songs ya wanna burn....not sure on the volume part, just depends on how the MP3 was recorded, if thats what tyour referin to.

Blainster.....depends on what ya want to do with the software, if all ya want to do is RIP cd's then MusicMatch would probably work for ya, whereas the Adaptec software is great for making data cd's as well as Rippin cd's.

gplracer, yes you can extract files from a cd. go to the easy cd creator and go to the help menu. In the index tab type 'extract' without the ' and it will give you step by step directions.
