Which Buffalo router should I get?

The Buffalo can bee a pain in the neck to lfash because of its Encrypted firmware.

From all the method described in the DD-WRT pages th on with the ongoing pings is the safest.

Here's a good write up of what you wanted to do over at Gizmodo.
I have the Buffalo WHR-G125 that is flashed with DD-WRT for over a year now. And I'm pleased with its performance. The uptime is close to 200 days without the automatic reboot or reset like with my previous routers. DD-WRT also allows you to turn up the tranmission power of your router which may solve your weak signal problem.
