Which brands of dress / nice shirts are slim fit?

Ok, I've bought two Express 1MX shirts. So far, the fit is WAY better than anything I've ever had, BUT, believe it or not, I think I can go slimmer.

I'm wearing a size small 1MX, and the shoulders don't seem wide enough, the arms are too long, and the waist isn't slim enough, but the neck size is PERFECT.

Any more ideas? I have the feeling the 1MX shirts are made for taller, somewhat lankier people than me.

Couldn't tell you which of those brands are, sorry. But the Structure brand dress shirts they sell at Sears are slim fit, I really like those. They're more casual as far as dress shirts go though.

On the contrary, I've found abercrombie to fit really wide.

Kenneth Cole and Geoffrey Beene know how to make a better dress shirt than Express. Express fits me better and might have better style, but for actual "dress" shirts, you're better off getting a shirt and matching tie from a company that has more experience making formal shirts.

Unless you plan on getting those MX shirts from Express professionally dry cleaned and pressed, expect them to fade and wrinkle really quickly. I've had horrible luck with the stretch material in my MX's when I wash them myself. If you insist on getting something from Express, their "Premium" shirts are better quality and can be found for <$20 when they style/color goes on clearance.

Just about every brand's collared shirts naturally fit wide. Do any of those have a fitted/modern/slim fit line?

fuzzybabybunny, do you need these for work, going out, or formal functions like church, weddings, etc? I wouldn't get an Abercrombie/Hollister/American Eagle shirt for anything other than casual wear - hanging out with friends and going to bars.

edit: For casual and work shirts, Gap has a premium fitted line that's decent quality, on par with Express.

Awww, thanks guys and gals! I actually don't know what I'll be using these for. Probably both work and casual.

My dad only gets wrinkle free shirts. Should I be hellbent on getting wrinkle free?

I can vouch for this.

Except for the arms...the arms are cut way too slim in relation to the torso

[Edit] BTW, you better move quick if you wanna get anything. I ordered about 8 hours back and got about half the shirts I ordered cancelled.

Sorry to bump such an old thread, but do brands like Express or Banana Republic or Abercrombie or IZOD make NOT-slim shirts? The reason I ask is because I'm looking at shirts from these brands, but none of them specifically say that they're slim-fit. Are they ALL just slim fit?

Geoffrey Beene (their "fitted" still isn't slim enough IMO)
Kenneth Cole

Edit: Or other brands not on the list?

I got CK, some Van Hesuen & Geoffrey Beene (cheap), and a Kenneth Cole Reaction (lower end), and they all are not slim fit. (being asian and somewhat slender, I think I know what you mean by slim fit.)

as said above, I would say Express provided the slimmest fit, and some Banana Republic too. (add: Club Monaco)
