Which brand of video card (or integrated) is most stable?

I am building a system for my GF, she plays mostly sims 2, but her current system is showing its age. Im not that good at video cards. I have read the thread about nvidia's drivers not passing the WHQL (isnt that a quality standard?) The failure of nvidia not passing those tests scare me. I kinda want to stick with ATI, for in my current system, i have a 9200SE and i am very happy with it. For a person who does not know much about video cards, which ones would have the least problems?

btw, this is going into an Intel motherboard.
