I swear I'm either gonna get a 9600 pro or the 9800 np, but I have to know just what the 9500 pro overclocked is capable of. I'm assuming the brand name is important here. Any comments or experiences to share with 9500 pro overclocking?
I don't think the brand makes much of a difference since they're mostly reference designs. That said, I'd go for a Hercules or Sapphire if I had the choice.

Yeah the brand makes almost no difference accept Saphire because the bios is already unlocked. I am pretty sure that the hercules are not unlocked so you will have to unlock it but that is almost oo easy. I am partial to the saphires though.
What is the difference in a Sapphire and a Sapphire Atlantis? I have noticed both names, not sure with which series of cards (9600s or 9800s maybe?). Not seeing it with the 9500s though.
Oh and I am only seeing OEM Sapphire 9500s at Newegg, but I suppose those are just as good as retail.
EDIT/ correction: I see no Sapphire 9500 pro, just the regular.
what REALLY matters is what kinda of ram is on them. The Cores all clock about the same depending on how well the card is cooled. I have a saphire which most saphire cards come with 3.3 ns ram which is okay BUT the saphire cards seem to not supply enough voltage to the ram so MOST Saphire cards the ram will only get to about 297 above that mine and MANY others cards will get artifacts and checkerboarding. MY saphire card was NOT unlocked though some peoples were. It was a relativly easy to flash the bios to an over clockable one I belive that the Hurclules cards come with better ram I think 3.0 ns some I had had 2.8ns but that was along time ago probably not anymore.
If u are a modder all the cards can do much better with a bit more cooling and a healthy voltage mod which does wonders I hear.
My Saphire I clock at 324 core 297 Ram the core I have had at 341 and im sure it would go highier it just doesn't seem worth the risk and there wasn't much of a benifit. The ram is more likely to give performance boosts that are noticible. GL with what ever card you get they are all pretty good.
If the cards u are looking at are 200 or right around that spring 20 more bucks and get a 9700 np that is what I wish I had done but those cards were$ 50-75 more than what I got my card for back in march. I paid $175 not bad for the card at all. GL with what you choose.
Saphire and saphire atlantis are all the same things. There is not difference with the retail and OEM mine came with EVERY thing besides the box.
Saphire 9500 Pro This is the site I got my card from. Very good company pretty high resellerratings too.
