I am considering going the self study route for A+, Network+ ect. Are these certificates even worth getting these days? Do they help your career along with a good chunk of work experience if you dont have a college degree at all?

Which publisher(s) are the better A+ book writers, or are they all the same, just a diffrent brand?

Gimme some opinions on this matter! :)

1. A+ All In One Certification 5th Edition (for 2003) by Michael Meyers
2. A+ All In One Certification 4th Edition (old but still can use for 2003; doesnt have new stuff though) by Michael Meyers
3. A+ Exam Cram 2 (This book has alot of information.. dont think its just a short 'exam cram'; but it does have mixed reviews)

Before you take it though, take sample quizzes online. Good resource for quizzes & book reviews :
