thinking of upgrading just my cpu and mobo.

is there a board that will support the newer celerons and EDO ram?

current config:
pentII 266
intel lx
4 x 16mb EDO ram

thanx

I haven't seen any mobo with LX/EX/BX/ZX chipset and SIMMs support (if those are EDO SIMMs) yet. If you own 4 16Mb DIMM modules, it's easier to sell them all than find mobo with 4 memory slots (those might be 5V memory modules witch doesn't run at 3.3V as all newer DIMMs, too).

The price of EDO RAM is so much higher than SDRAM now that, as Priit said, it would be much easier to sell the EDO and buy some SDRAM, and make a nice profit in the bargain.. 🙂

guess replacing the innards for duron + SDRAM + mobo would be my best option.

Priit Fardringle thanx for the info 🙂
