I have 2 boards listed....
Use any criteria but do mention it...

1. Asus Maximus formula
2. MSI P35 Platinum (MS-7345)

which is better?
also does the MSI P35 Platinum support QX9650 without BIOS updates? i.e Natively??

PLease specify why you would prefer one board over the other...
(NOTE: I am not looking for a crossfire setup)
 
the Asus is the more highly featured but it will also be nearly 2x the price & performance should be pretty similar.
