I want to get a good MOBO for an AMD. I am considering Abit, Asus, and MSI. I am looking for something similar to my BE6. I would like stability, and support for more than 4 IDE devices... do any of these fit this description?? Which would you veterans suggest?? I am kinda new to all of this build it yourself stuff...

Well at least your looking at the top 3 board's. At this time I think MSI is top dog, but not by much. If you haven't put your order in yet and can wait a few weeks, a new and improved version of motherboards is just beginning to hit the streets. Somebody else may hold the title next month.

You can see by my system which I would recommend. I have been very happy with the Pro 2A. It has been working great for close to two months now and not one hard lock since I've had it running.

A co-worker of mine turned me onto SharkyExtreme. There are numerous, well written hardware (esp. mobo) reviews that give you insight in selecting components for your next box.

Hope this helps!
