Which board auto-unlocks Athlon XP multiplier?

Heard from someone awhile ago that one of the new Asus boards automatically unlocks a locked Athlon XP multiplier..was it the A7N8X or the A7V8X??? Any success stories? Please post details. Thanks.

nForce 2 boards (A7N8X, 8RDA etc) will unlock Athlon XP Thoroughbred processors. I don't believe it works with Palamino core XPs

UGH. That blows major chunks. I have the older 1700+ XP's which I think are the Palominos...

Edipis, did you actually perform this mod? I've never heard of this one but it looks very tempting.

the athlon xp cores are; palamino, thoroughbred A, thoroughbred B, and Barton

Correct me if I am wrong. I thought all Nforce mobos auto-unlock XP multipliers? (Pali, T-bred)

Some of early T-bred came as factory unlocked CPU.. (T-bred A) and this CPU doesn't require Nforce mobo for unlock.
