Which Blockbuster plan to pick ?

I am not a movie freak. Just an occasional movie is ok.

I am thinking about the $5.99 plan (2 movies per month + 2 in-store w/ total access). got 2 BB stores within 5 miles.

Note: we already have HBO + ShowTime on Dish.

Get a Netflix plan instead. You'll be able to watch the movies online in a few months.

seems like you've made up your mind already.

You also get a printable coupon each month for a free game or movie rental with each of those plans.

I don't see how that should effect his decision now. He can always cancel his bb plan if netflix does offer this in the future and he finds it worth it.

Don't use BB, but does that mean $5.99 a month for four movies? I don't know what "2 in-store w/ total access" means but if it just two more movies, then use Redbox or an equivalent instead. $.99 a movie FTW!

Blockbuster's customer service has always been evil. I'm sure that they'll make it a pain to cancel if he decides to do so later.

The only reason I am planning on going with BB is that I can use the Total Access thing and get more movies when I want.

With the $5.99 plan, I can get 5 movies/month
$7.99 plan will get 7/month
$9.99 plan will get ~9-11 movies/month

With netflix:
$4.99 - 2 movies
$9.99 - ~4-5 movies

I am thinking about the $5.99 plan but that $7.99 plan sounds good also...

w/ 5.99 plan, i get 2 online rentals per month. But for returning, instead of mailing them back to BB, i can take them to a local BB store to return them and get 2 free rentals (1 free rental for each online movie returned in store) + i get one coupon per month = total of 5 rentals per month

I've canceled with them a couple times when I decided I didn't have the time or money to spend on it. Never had a problem.

It's not hard to cancel at all. You tell them you want to cancel, and at most they'll want feedback as to why and then cancel it immediately. Else, immediately.

5 movies a month for $6 isn't too bad.

Or even better, free🙂 There's a bunch of codes you can use to get a free rental, one time per credit/debit card but they get updated pretty frequently. I use them a lot since there's one in the grocery store.

oh, that sucks. I've been finding them to be the best thing ever, renting much more than when I had the rental program from BB (the b&m one)

I've got the 9.99 plan and so far I've been getting about 8-9 a month but I'm finding it's taking too much time to watch all these movies -- can't keep up lol. Think I might change to the $5.99 plan and find something else to do with my spare time.
