new to the world of BT!
i d/l BitTorrent 3.4.2 and it seems very simple - click on a torrent link which is d/l from suprnova.org and way it goes.

i also saw other clients with GUIs and front ends [eg LH BitTorrent, ABC, TorrentStorm]- what is the difference?

is it a case also of finding web sites which host torrent files rather than, say, a centralised search facility eg Kazaa?

TorrenTopia. I haven't tried the other ones so I can't really say which is better. But TorrenTopia has an inbuilt search feature too.

okay fair enough lots of people like Azureus - but is this to do with how it looks or do they actually function differently too?
the one i have listed is very simple [it seems] but does the job: at least for 1 at a time].

also where do you folks go to find torrent?

sorry i didnt realise this was such a common repost [as is the reply "Azureus" - a reason why it is so popular would be useful too] but doent really discuss sites for torrents on those links [i suppose the few mysterious PMs deal with those?]

Azureus because it's pretty intuitive and full-featured. I wish it weren't memory-hogging Java though.

Did anyone mention Azureus?

Well, it was the first one I used and I still use it. Works fine for the most part.

As for torrents it would be best under forum rules for me to just to recommend you do a Google search with "torrents" and "search" and you'll find what you need.

Or search for "bittorrent faq" and you'll get a guide that has a bunch of good info as well as recommended search engines for torrents.

Good luck.

Good luck.

i am not averse to receiving any PMs about them with recommendations though;)

i have also heard a few comments about the memory-hogging nature of Azureus now.

Is it fait to say that basically all the ones mentioned {Azureus/ABC/BitTornado} all pretty much do the same thing and it is much of amuchness and down to prefernces abotu looks etc?
