I have had better experience with the F6 on mine. I'm running my 1800+ @ 2100+ (150mhz FSB) with no issues 24/7. :)

yeah, thats what i would have thought, F6 being better, being thats its new!

but i have gone back to F4 and all my problems have gone.

one major prob was on boot up, just when it finds boot record it would beep, like an error, i would have a black screen and the HDD LED would be going off! this lasted bout 30 seconds and then Windows started loading up.

strange, but everything was unstable, offen it would restart straight after it had booted up, programs wouldnt open and benchmark programs would cause a restart...

F4 still hasnt fixed my prob of having my benchmarks scores being cut in half though :( cant figure this out,
my marks are not much better then the Duron 1 gig system running here and memory benchmarks too are suffering...

I'm not sure about the rev 1.1 motherboard but the F6 will not work with the rev 1.0 motherboard. It causes the motherboard to ignore all PCI slots. It also exhibits other problems. Since I have a rev 1.0 motherboard I went back to F4.

I really don't like that Gigabyte will release a bios upgrade that doesn't work across all revisions of it's motherboard without telling anyone. The community has had to find this out through their own sweat and hard work.

Also, their support will not respond to any inquires about the bios.

Due to this, my next motherboard will be anything but a Gigabyte.

yeah i hear ya Steve,
i have gone thru a few dud's to get a good one of this.

if not for the ideal features it has for me, and the nice price i would have gone another brand for sure!!

lets hope another maker can put out a MoBo with plenty of features and good price

i too will be staying away from Giga-byte in the future!
