Which Barton do you recommend?

Are all AMD Athlon XPs with 333 FSB a Barton?

The ones that I have seen with 333 FSB are the XP 2500, XP 2600, XP 2700, XP 2800, and XP 3000. I am willing to spend about $120, which takes me as far as the XP 2800. I read that the XP 2500 is the best bang for the buck because of it's OC capabilities, but that's WITH a locked cpu which I hear is hard to get these days. So which do you recommend?

some are 400Mhz FSB. I just bought a 2600+(Barton) and the multi is NOT locked on it. Don't know if i just managed to get a pre week 39 or what. it's running at 2105Mhz right now though and only cost $100.

well its just the multiplier being locked,
in this case, if u have new motherboards.. u will be more interested to increase the FSB and run it in sync with RAM for better performance..

I think the multiplier is locked at 11.
I know some people would like to go 11.5
oh well....
old motherboards however has an FSB limit...
thus, only way to OC even higher is to push the multiplier. Therefore, they would not like the current lock on the CPU.

so do you have one of the current Mobos?
