Ok I posted this earlier in the Software forum but got no response yet, so I'll try to approach it from another angle. I know that they are devices that try to fix scratched CDs, does anyone know of a store that has this device that I can go to. I'm in the Washington Metro area.

Alternatively - This will be easier for me This is what I posted earlier in the software forum.

Hey does anyone have the nba live2000 cd, I need two folders from it. My DVD player put a big scratch in My CD now it won't install.

If anyone can help me can you please ZIP and email me the files from the CD in the

"/nba2000/origdb" folder and the
"nba2000/scripts" folder.

Other files are also corrupted some of the files in the movies folder but I can live without watching the ending again.

Can you please email them to me at
gdan123@yahoo.com
The files should be less than 3 megs and thats the limit on the yahoo account.

Thanks for anyone that can help.

There is a cheaper way that works just as well.

Go to local walmart, find something called Scratch Out, on the automobile area. It's in a small 7 oz bottle, yellow colored.

Basically it's a compound to remove scratches in your car's finish.

What's more is that it also works to remove scratches from plastic.

I've used it on numerous products, like car CD player faceplate, watches (with plastic 'glass'), and CDs.

If you look at the back of the bottle, you will find instructions on how to apply it. Very simple. Just put a little bit on the surface, and starts rubbing with towel, until the substance dried out. REpeat until surface is smooth.
