Which automakers are offering 0.0% APR on their vehicles?

I been looking around and thought it would be easier to make a list of who/what are offering 0.0% APR financing on their vehicles.

So far I found Mazda is offering 0.0 for 36 months on most of their '07s.

Chevy is offering 0.0% on Silverados

Ford is offering 0.0% APR for (I think 60 months) on all cars

Nissan has 1.9% (close) for 36 months on the altima

I am looking to buy both myself and my wife new (or used) cars in the near future. Probably going to get her one sooner then myself.

Also, does anybody know what sales offers will be available for Labor Day weekend?

It's not a one-stop list, but Edmunds has a pretty good list of current incentives and rebates.

Go to Edmunds.com, click New Cars, and Incentives and Rebates. For particular cars you may be looking at, you can see the financing incentives and the rebates.

Since you mentioned 1.9 on the Nissan, I noticed Subaru is doing 1.9 on several 07s. The Impreza 2.5i is one I know of for sure.

Toyota is offering 0% on Highlander, Sienna and another model I can't recall...at least here in SoCal.

07 models, of course.

cool, thanks for that. I looked and they were offering 1.9 on the legacy and impreza. we were only looking to spend about 18,000 or so and the base automatic impreza is already 19,400 without taxes

edit: just looked and dodge is having a zero plus sale. 0.0% for 36 months on a bunch of vehicles including the caliber

Don't pay attention to MSRP on Subarus. You only pay MSRP (or something close to it) on STi's and Spec. B Legacies. Most everything else has a good amount of wiggle room.

I was able to negotiate an impreza wagon (auto) for 15.9k (MSRP 20K). It's too bad i did not like the car. The incentives are deep for it.

I configured a automatic Impreza 2.5i Sedan online and it came out to about $19,200. How much do you think I will be able to negotiate it at a dealership? I plan to put about $2000 down and another $3000 in a trade ($5000 total).

It says online that Suburu is offering 1.9% APR (doesnt say for how long) on the Impreza. My wife is also a recent college (doctorate) so I think she may qualify for their college graduate program.

So far we are going to take a look at and test drive the following:

2007 Mazda 3i Touring 4 door (0.0 APR / $18,145)
2007 Dodge Caliber Sport (0.0 APR / $18,155)
2007 Suburu Impreza 2.5i (1.9 APR / $19,420)
2007 VW Jetta (0.0 APR / $17,565)
2008 Nissan Sentra 2.0s ( 1.9 APR / $17,075)
2008 Kia Spectra EX A/T w/ cruise ctrl (2.9 APR / $16,770)
2008 Mitsubishi Lancer ES CVT (4.9 APR / $17,515)
2007 VW Rabbit w/ 4 door, ipod add-on (0.0 APR / $18,384)

Is there anything else that we should take a look at?
Again we are looking at spending around $18,000 with close to 0.0% APR

A 3i touring for 18K? that is how much an 3s Sport cost....

You should also be able to talk that Impreza down to the low 16s or high 15s.

I did not even know that Subaru had a college program now.

Indeed. My sis-in-law just got a quote on a new 07 2.5i Limited for 17.5k.

Those are about the only 2 there's not much leeway on. I was happy to get my STi at just 1k over invoice.

The 3i Touring has some added options such as ABS and side curtain air bags making it a little more. I am adding some more vehicles to the list as I type....

then get the 3s Touring. I am pretty sure you can talk it down to around 18.5 or 18.6. Or even try getting the s sport with those options (ABS is standard on all s trim). The website says you cannot add those options, but dealers will find ways to do it.

the only reaosn I can think of getting the i trim is because you want the smaller engine and the extra 2 MPG. ofcourse, if you are getting an auto, that 2MPG will not be there (the s has a 5 speed auto as opposed to a 4 speed auto).

The car isnt for me - its for my wife. She said she doesnt want anything fancy just something practical. She does a bit of driving to/from work so MPGs do matter some. She also needs an automatic. She is coming from a 1998 Nissan Sentra GXE 4 cylinder which I think I can outrun. I don't want to put her into something with that much more HP because she isn't used to it.

that's fine, but please make sure you do not spend 18k on the i version. Oh, and the auto on the 3 (both s and i) is kind of ineffecient. The gas mileage will be no where close to EPA. I thought my car was the only one with this problem, but I found several cases on the edmunds board where people have the same problem as me (21-22 MPG mixed driving).

ok, thanks

Out of the following:
2007 Mazda 3i Touring 4 door (0.0 APR / $18,145)
2007 Dodge Caliber Sport (0.0 APR / $18,155)
2007 Suburu Impreza 2.5i (1.9 APR / $19,420)
2007 VW Jetta (0.0 APR / $17,565)
2008 Nissan Sentra 2.0s ( 1.9 APR / $17,075)
2008 Kia Spectra EX A/T w/ cruise ctrl (2.9 APR / $16,770)
2008 Mitsubishi Lancer ES CVT (4.9 APR / $17,515)

How would you rank them? After ranking them how much do you think I can negotiate off of the MSRP?

Right now I am leaning in this order:
1. Mazda 3
2. Nissan Sentra
3. Suburu Impreza (this all depends on the price)
4. Dodge Caliber
5. Mitsubishi Lancer
6. VW Jetta
7. Kia Spectra

I would make the VW Jetta #2 or 3. She consider the rabbit? I like that car alot. If your wife is skinney, she may like the Impreza. I am kind of chubby so I thought the seats in the Impreza did not fit me well. Also, the inetrior felt like my aunt's old 93 Accord, but my gf did not mind it.

Also, VW's graduate program is something like $500 off and they make your first auto payment. I am not sure if that would discount you from the special financing, however.

Go to edmunds, see what others are payong and SUBTRACT $500 from that. That should be your target price, but when you negotiate, try to go even lower. best way to do this is to just use their email to dealer feature. With in a day, you should be getting calls and emails from different dealers. SOme dealers will give you a good deal right way, and some you may have to work at it. Either way, take your lowest deal and start pitting the dealers against each other.

Yeah she's skinny....about 5'3" 100lbs or so. I totally forgot about the rabbit....good call. I'm checking it out now.

I'm also browsing Edmunds now to see what other people got....thanks alot!!

According to Edmunds TMV (True Market Value) these are the following prices. All are configured the same with automatic transmission unless noted:

2008 Mazda 3i Touring w/ ABS,SAC options $18,025 (2007 MSRP $18,145) 26/34mpg
2008 Dodge Caliber Sport - N/A (MSRP $18,155) 28/32mpg
2008 Subaru Impreza 2.5i AWD $17,163 (2007 MSRP $19,420) 23/28mpg
2008 VW Jetta $17,263 (2007 MSRP $17,565) 23/30mpg
2008 VW Rabbit 4 Door $18,560 (2007 MSRP $18,384) 22/30mpg
2007 Nissan Sentra 2.0s $16,704 (MSRP $17,075) 29/36mpg
2008 Kia Spectra EX A/T w/ cruise $14,860 (MSRP $16,770) 27/35mpg
2008 Mitsubishi Lancer ES CVT $16,091 (MSRP $17,515) 22/29mpg

Taking into account that some models were 2008s when I was looking for a 2007 you can see some pretty descent deals.

If the 2008 Mazda 3i is going for the same MSRP then the 2007 then I'm sure I could get it in the high 16s or low 17s same as with the Impreza.

Its proabably going to come down to what my wife likes and feels comfortable driving.

08 3's shpould cost more than 07. Not because it is an 07 vs 08, but because 08 has more standard features. I know that the s trim went up about $200, so I'd imagine the I trim to be the same.
