Which Atot Users have turned their lives around?

Well, I was dragging this buck through the woods, by his horns. What a bitch, the horns kept getting caught on branches and stuff. My buddy suggested that I drag him by his legs. Worked like a charm but I'm now 6 miles from the truck.
 
Well...I haven't been arrested for anything in more than 40 years...that's pretty good for me. For a few years, I couldn't manage to go a month without getting tossed in jail for something or another...a couple of times for serious felonies.
 
i turned it around, but in the wrong direction

if i could see myself now from 10 years ago i would be so freaking disappointed

Well, hmm, I could use a bit of a "personal revival". Having mental health issues, and my meds are starting to not work as effectively as before. My sleep cycle sucks, my nutrition sucks, my diet sucks, my exercise is lacking, and I don't have a real focus. I build PCs for family and friends with my spare change and whatever I can get them to fairly contribute towards the project, and I just sort-of live, day-by-day, never quite sure what tomorrow will bring.

Edit: Seeing the below comments, yes, Thank YOU to all whom have served this Great Country (the USA).

As an aside, Memorial Day is to remember and honor those who died while serving this country in military service. For this, I offer my sincere and heartfelt gratitude and respect to those BoomerD lost.
 
Why is 'turning your life around' considered to be necessarily a good thing? It surely depends critically on which direction it was going to start with?

I've been utterly goalless my whole life. My main maxim is "plans only lead to disappointment". Aside from specific tasks, I'm pretty much always winging it, and adapting to changing circumstances. If I could see myself from 10 years ago, I'd think "That's something", shrug, and get on with life.

A decade ago I was strung out on heroin, homeless, flat broke, I ate by shoplifting from gas stations. Next year this time I'll have been clean a decade, I started a business, bought a house and have more money than I know what to do with.

Stop making excuses and get to it is all I can say.

Congrats. That's awesome man. My dad had a 4th grade education. My mom, dropped out of HS. Yet, they started businesses. Their issue was saving and investing what they earned. At on point, my dad was bringing in over $150k a year. This was in the mid 90s. Not bad for a guy who dropped out of school. But, he had to hustle. A lot. Seems a lot of people arre addicted to comfort today. Much of it due to our technology. I'm no better. But, I want more. That's me though. Anyway, love to hear success stories from normal people. It makes it all seem attainable.
