Which ati radeon 9700pro should i get?

Thats the one I bought and it is great but get which ever
one you like best because any differences will be marginal.
I would choose the one that costs less but whatever you do
don't base your decision on 3Dmarks. 😉

yeah it seems that the hercules version has the best perk since morrowind is packaged with it, but too bad i already have that game 😛

Get the "Built by ATI" version.

That Tomshardware review says it's last because it's expensive, is only available in Canada and U.S., and has a crappy software bundle. Personally, I don't care about software, I live in Canada, and it costs about the same price as the others. ATI will have better support & warranty service than any other company, so I think it's the one to get.

All 9700 cards are being made by ATI right now, last I heard there is no other company producing the card. Stick with the Made By ATI though, better to have a warranty through them.

I've got a sapphire. It runs well. Overclocks well, but nothing insane.

I'd feel comfy recommending one.

Isn't there a slight gpu/ram speed difference between the ATi version and the 3rd-party ones licensed by ATi? I seem to recall reading that, but I could be wrong.

I would personally go with the Hercules version. It has better cooling than the other cards, and includes the full version of Morrowind.

Check the Tom's Radeon 9700 PRO cards round-up:

The Hercules card is only sold in Europe.

All 9700 Pro cards run at the same speed.
