I really love the omega's and until I see some review from a reputable site to compare them I will stick with them.

Without comparing them yourself you could be actually using the worst drivers for all you know.

Yeah well I did my own comparisons between the catalys and the omegas aroudn the 4.5, 4.6 and 4.7's. I found that the omega and catalysts performed the same and that the 4.7's worked best on the 9600 i had at the time. The reasons I use the omega's is because of configurability and because they come with radlinker. I also tried out the dna drivers aroudn the same time and while there was a performance increase the decrease in stability was too significant to make it worth while.

I installed the Omegas.. and they workd great for gaming,

but watching video is another story...

When using windows media player 9 to play an mpeg file, all i see is gray....
When using windows media player 6.4 to play the same mpeg file, it appears to work.

I forgot to check my CPU usage to see if it was using hardware acceleration.. but i'll do that when i get home tonight.

Any ideas?

If all else fails, i'll go with the new cats...

Did anyone who installed the new cats experience huge framerate drops in Half Life 2? I read something about that, but would like other people's experiences.

thanks

IF you have XP I would recomend WMP 10, thats what I use for most video playback and it works fine with the omega 5.1's.
