Which athlon xp to get?

I would just like some personal opinions from people that bought an xp 1700. I'd like to go ahead and get an 1800 but an extra $50 for a 67 mhz increase seems a bit high. I assume they'd have similar oc results I just want a couple of people to confirm that. Thx.

I dumped $50 extra bucks on the 1800+ and I regret it....I mean 67 extra mhz...BFD! That's like under %3 performance increase. Not worth it!

the best buy right now is 1600+,
get 1600+ and use the extra money to get a better vga card.

Actually, there is a benchmark that benches price performance... and the winner for the XPs was the 1500, however, the 1600 has come down in price enough since the benches I remember, either the 1500+ or the 1600+ offer the best price/performance. Anything else would be shelling out the extra cash to own bragging rights. Performance boost among the XPs is very small so far...

KingofComputer hit it on the head. The 1.4 GHz 1600+ is the real "bang for the buck" winner right now. By the time I'll be buying an XP processor (Dec/Jan) it'll prolly be one of the other ones. It's all about supply and demand and when you buy.
