Which asus board = dfi lanparty?

I wanted the DFI Lanparty because of how good people say it overclocks, but I live in Canada and I can get discount on Asus boards so does anyone know which Asus board will have same or similar capabilities? It has to have PCIe, 939 pin, SLI not necessary, and ddr ram of course.

The A8N-E uses the nForce 4 chipset, while the A8V-E uses a VIA chipset.

PCI-E 1x slots will eventually take the place of PCI slots...they'll be for add-on cards that don't require much bandwidth (NICs, sound cards, other).

damn i love this forum... quick replies

ok i have decided on the A8N-E then. One of the problems with it is the fan noise, are there anything else i should worry about?

should I shell out a bit more for the SLI Deluxe just for the upgradeability even though I wont be running dual yet?

oh and what exactly is the problems with the A8N-SLI boards?

Go SLI if you want to have the option the future and think you may use it. Which problems you may or may not encounter mostly are dependent upon your hardware configuration.

I wouldn't pay extra for the SLI features. I doubt you will use them. Truthfully, I wouldn't have gotten a A8N-SLI DLX if it wasn't for the fact that it was the very first board out. I probably would have just opted for the Ultra version. I'm happy with my purchase, especially since I got it two months before the DFI boards were available but I paid for SLI features which I'm 90% certain I will never use.
