which appz is best for ripping vcd and covert them to mpeg?

hmm... I thought VCDs do store the video using the mpeg format? I know that for the VCDs you buy, there's a mpeg file inside one of the directories on the VCD.

I am not sure about this, can someone correct me?

What does ttt mean? Anyway, what you probably want is VCDGear available at http://www.vcdgear.com. It'll convert that .dat file on your VCD's to an .mpeg file. BCYL, the file is in MPEG format but it doesn't play well as a .DAT file. This program probably changes the offset or adds headers or something that makes it a more compatible MPEG file. I'm not really sure the specifics. I just know it works.
