Which apps should be blocked with Sygate Firewall?

I'm not sure what each app does and therefor do not know if I should block or allow it. I see NT Kerner & System, Generic Host Process, Application Layer Gate, NDIS User Mode and Common Client User Security (probably from Norton I think). Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
