Hi,

I would like to buy an Apple computer and I need some advices on which one to buy please.

The price needs to be between approximately 1500€ and 2500€, so between approximately 1670 US dollar and 2800 US dollar.

I should be able to put the computer on my bed (without it falling down), so it needs to be more or less portable.

But I do not care if it's heavy and thick. In fact I would prefer that it be very heavy and very thick since heavier and thicker means more power and more computational speed.

As for the size of the screen: bigger is better. I would like at least a 17 inch screen.

I have seen this kind of Apple computer:

But it seems to be impossible to put this one on a bed, it would fall down rather easily.

I have also seen that there is something called a "Macbook":

But it seems to be much too thin and too light, so it's not what I'm looking for.

So please give me your suggestions.

Thanks in advance for your answers.

This kind of seems like a bizarre request. You want a portable desktop that you can put on your bed? You won't find anything portable with a 17" screen. 15" is the largest Apple makes in the portable category.

What are you going to use it for? You also need to figure out if you want a desktop or a laptop before we can make any meaningful suggestions.

Assuming this isn't a troll post...

15" MacBook Pro
2.2 GHz Core i7
256 GB SSD
16 GB memory

2249€ in France, or a bit cheaper if you are a student or teacher.

17" screen doesn't exist, unless you buy a really old machine or a desktop, but a desktop on a bed is stupid.

This is a weird request. A desktop you can put on your bed with a 17'' plus screen. Do they not have tables in Europe? I know the apartments there are small, but they aren't that small. o_O

Lol, do not buy the vanilla Macbook. Yeah, it has a retina display and bigger baseline SSD, but the performance and battery life are nothing to write home about. It's an overpriced netbook. The MacBook Air is a much better buy.

I think for the OP's needs, the MacBook Pro would make the most sense. The 15'' display won't be an issue if you have it that close to you.

17'' laptops have mostly gone out of style because they're so bulky. Apple doesn't make them anymore. You can still buy PC laptops with 17-18'' screens. They're mainly targeted at gamers, and might be a good option unless you need Apple specific software.

There are tables and stuff you can use to use a laptop on your bed from a prone position. Just do a google search for "laptop bed stand" - you'll find stuff.
