Hi, I'm building a dual 1600+ Athlon MP machine with a single ide hdd, one cdrom, a video card, an extra nic, 2-3 case fans, thats basically it. Will a Antec True 380 suffice? Would 330 be enough? Should I go with 430? I would assume 380 would be plenty, with a little room for expansion too, correct? Thanks for any info, input is much appreciate from people who have Tyan mobos with dual athlons. Thanks.

Many people have reported using 330's with their dual boards without problems.

From Tyan's website:

The Tiger MP S2460 accepts a standard ATX-style power supply . However, the P/S must be able to supply a minimum of 30A on the 5-volt line. Many 300+ watt power supplies on the market today are capable of this output.

The Tiger MPX S2466 has a similar notation.

My Asus A7M266D manual lists using at least a 400 watt psu for power, with a 5v/3.3v rating of 180 watts combined and +12v rating of 15 amps. If the Antec 380 can supply those figures, then I would say you're safe to go with it. I'm using an Antec PP412(400 watt psu) for power with my board with no problems.

Cool. Thanks for the info. I saw that stuff on the antec site, was just curious as to what people have seen from experience. Anybody else...?
